Ingredients
8 apples quartered
1 tablespoon spiced chai powder (cinnamon, clove, cardamom)
¼ cup brown sugar
1 vanilla pod
2 cups water
Preparation
Slice apples into quarters, keeping the skins and core on. Place apples into a large stockpot with water, chai powder, brown sugar, vanilla pod & cook apples down covered for an hour on low for 4 hours. Puree in a food processor, pass through a sieve and return to heat.
Cook for a further hour on low heat, stirring occasionally.
To store, refrigerate in an airtight container
